PM opens steel pipe production factory with investments worth $4.5 mln

SUEZ, Egypt, Oct 26 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Sunday inaugurated a steel pipe production factory during his visit to the Ain Sokhna Integrated Zone of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone). The factory is located within the TEDA Egypt industrial developer area.

During the opening ceremony, Madbouly stated that the project is part of ongoing efforts to localize metal industries, which serve as a key foundation for many production sectors.

The government places special importance on supporting “serious investments” that are capable of strengthening national industry and increasing employment rates, he said.

The prime minister listened to an explanation from the factory’s director about the operation of the slitting, pipe-forming, and polishing machines.

He also saw for himself the samples of the factory’s final products.

Built on an area of 25,000 square meters with $4.5 million in investments, the factory has an annual output of around 17,000 tons of metal products and provides 120 direct jobs, the factory’s director said. (MENA)
