PM thanks Sisi, Trump for Gaza peace efforts

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly extended his appreciation to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his US counterpart Donald Trump for their strenuous efforts to end the war on Gaza in coordination with regional partners.

“In coordination with mediation partners, led by the US, Qatar, and Turkey, Egypt has achieved great success in reaching a peace agreement and ending the war in the Gaza Strip, putting an end to the humanitarian suffering endured by Palestinian brethren in Gaza for two years,” Madbouly said during a news conference following his tour of Qalyubia on Saturday 11/10/2025.

Madbouly reiterated the constants of Egypt’s stance on the Gaza crisis from day one, recalling President Sisi’s statement that “we will not accept, no matter what pressures and suffering we face, the liquidation of the Palestinian cause by displacing our Palestinian brothers from their homeland.”

Madbouly also thanked all Egyptian bodies that have worked around the clock over the past two years to broker peace, deliver humanitarian aid to those in need in the Palestinian strip, and bring conflicting parties closer until their efforts were crowned by the ceasefire agreement reached in Sharm El Sheikh two days ago.

In his remarks at the news briefing, Madbouly paid tribute to Egyptian girls on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl, observed annually on October 11.

Madbouly said during Saturday’s tour, he had firsthand experience of the important role played by Egyptian girls and women in various industrial, educational, and service facilities and projects.

The premier welcomed the significant presence of Egyptian women in the workforce, as demonstrated by his visit to a factory on Saturday, and in higher education, as evidenced by the female-majority student body at Banha University.
