Pope Tawadros donates prize money to build mosque, church in New Administrative Capital

Pope Tawadros II has announced that he will donate the prize money from the “Award of the Unity of Orthodox People”, which he received on Tuesday in Russia, to contribute to the building of a mosque and church in the New Administrative Capital.

At the ceremony held in Moscow, Tawadros said: “We pray for the world.”

He addressed the attendees thanking them. “I would like to invite all of you to visit Egypt and our monasteries to feel the joy of meeting once again. Egypt, from which the Coptic monasticism was spread, was and still is a sacred place for prayers to God.”
