Rafah border crossing closed for 3 days

Egyptian authorities closed the Rafah border crossing in North Sinai on Friday, after opening it for the entire week in both directions for Palestinian passengers, humanitarian cases and the passage of food and medical aid into the Gaza Strip.

An official source said the crossing will remain closed for three consecutive days, as Friday and Saturday are the weekends, while Sunday is a holiday for all government workers celebrating the 45th anniversary of the 1973 war.

The source added that the crossing will be reopened starting Monday morning for passengers and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in all directions.
