Severe weather causes Alexandria factory to collapse, 1 dead

At least one Egyptian was killed on Sunday when torrential rains caused a six-story textile factory to collapse in Alexandria, security sources said.

The source said six workers were also wounded, while adding that roughly 35 to 45 workers were believed to be buried under the rubble.

The casualty figure could rise, the source continued.

Heavy rains and strong winds have pummeled the port city since Saturday, leaving at least three people dead.
