Singer Sherine Abdel Wahab is gearing up for a massive live performance at the North Coast on August 7 as part of the New Alamein Festival.
This highly anticipated appearance marks her long-awaited return to the stage, following a hiatus which had fans across the region passionately campaigning for her musical comeback.
Abdel Wahab is expected to perform a diverse setlist, spanning her career-defining classics to her latest viral hits, including “Al-Hodn Shouk,” which has recently trended across digital streaming platforms.
The festival organizers emphasized that Sherine was chosen for her legendary status in the music industry, with her participation being a significant highlight for this season’s lineup.
Producer Yasser al-Hariri confirmed that preparations are already well underway, promising a premium production featuring state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and stage design to deliver a performance truly befitting her long-awaited comeback.
New collaboration
Sherine is currently undergoing an intense period of artistic resurgence.
Beyond her live shows, her manager, Nasser Bejato, revealed an upcoming duet with star Bahaa Sultan.
Bejato explained that the project represents a seamless collaboration, facilitated by both artists sharing the same management. While the project is still in the developmental phase, the team is carefully searching for a concept and lyrics that honor the legacy of both icons.
A shift in style
For the Summer 2026 season, Abdel Wahab is pivoting into a new direction.
Moving away from the melancholic and dramatic ballads that defined her recent work, she is reportedly focusing on “light and upbeat” tracks.
This shift aims to offer her audience a more vibrant, energetic, and positive musical experience, signaling a fresh new chapter in her storied career.
