Sisi, Saudi Crown Prince call for unhindered access for aid to Gaza

NEOM, Saudi Arabia, Aug 21 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman stressed the urgent need to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza without restrictions, secure the release of hostages and prisoners, and reject any attempts to displace the Palestinians or reinstate Israeli military control over the Strip.

They also called for an end to Israeli measures in the West Bank.

These remarks came during a meeting in NEOM on Thursday, where the leaders affirmed their commitment to deeper cooperation in investment, industrial integration, transport, renewable energy, and urban development. They also agreed to accelerate the launch of the Egyptian-Saudi High Coordination Council as a platform for strategic partnership.

Additionally, Sisi and Bin Salman reviewed ongoing efforts for a Gaza ceasefire and reaffirmed support for a two-state solution.

Both leaders stressed the importance of coordination between Cairo and Riyadh to safeguard regional stability and protect the sovereignty of Middle East states. (MENA)
