Soha Gendi receives the head of the Egyptian-Dutch Friendship Association

Ministry of Immigration and the Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, to strengthen the connection of Egyptians abroad with the homeland and direct and continuous communication with them, and their integration into the national development plan, Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, received Dr. Mohamed Makkawi, President of the Egyptian-Dutch Friendship Association, and Mr. Saeed Othman, Vice President of the Association and member of the Union of Egyptian Communities in Europe, to discuss cooperation to support the health sector in Egypt.

The Minister of Immigration began her speech during the meeting by welcoming her guests, praising the role of Egyptians abroad in various fields, and their keenness to support the Egyptian state, expressing her full welcome to any ideas and proposals from members of the Egyptian communities that would contribute to supporting and developing the services provided by Egyptian state institutions to Citizens, especially the groups most in need and most cared for in various governorates.

During the meeting, the Minister of Immigration listened to the proposal submitted by the President of the Egyptian-Dutch Friendship Association, stressing her keenness to open horizons of cooperation with regard to the medical sector, effective participation in serving the Egyptian state, and supporting national health initiatives launched by the political leadership represented by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, including the judiciary. The Minister of Immigration also confirmed that the Ministry is ready to cooperate in various fields, which is being done with various civil society institutions, and to bring in Egyptian doctors abroad to benefit from their expertise in providing various medical services to the most needy citizens, in a way that supports the strategy of building the Egyptian person and providing him with a decent life within achieving the goals of Sustainable development, which is an integral part of national development plans in the Egyptian State Vision 2030.

Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of Immigration, also reviewed the Ministry’s launch of an electronic form to register Egyptian doctors abroad who wish to support the health system in Egypt, especially the needy groups.

This came in implementation of the requests of Egyptian medical professors and doctors abroad to support the health and medical field in Egypt, as well as training and providing supplies.

Medical, also referring to her meeting with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health, who discussed the requests of Egyptian medical professors abroad and the possibility of the Ministry of Health benefiting from their presence on leave to support the health field in Egypt.
