Solidarity Ministry pays compensation to victims of church bombings

Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali announced that the social solidarity directorates have already begun to pay compensations to the victims of the two church bombings of Tanta and Alexandria.

The minister said in a statement that the total value of paid compensations amounted to LE1,320,000. 
 
She added LE840,000 were paid to 21 people injured in from Tanta's St. George Church and LE480,000 were paid to 12 victims in the Alexandria church bombing.
 
The Minister also mentioned that she began to meet the legal requirements and to extract the documents of the heirs of the victims at the competent courts in coordination with the Ministry of Justice.
 
Wali added that the directorates of social solidarity in the governorates of Alexandria and Gharbiya are working to speed up the disbursement of special pensions approved by the Cabinet, equal to LE1,500 a month, for the families of the deceased victims.
