Ten thousand Egyptians expected to attend Egypt matches in 2018 World Cup

Marketing Director of the company Prime Tours Group Mohammed al-Shaer expects around 10,000 football fans from Egypt to attend the three matches the Egyptian football team will play in the first round of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Shaer added that the Group, which is the exclusive agent for the sale of the World Cup’s Official Hospitality Programme in Egypt, agreed with the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to extend the duration of ticket booking and the issuance of the fan card until May 1.

Shaer asserted that the Egyptian singer Mohammed Hamaki will perform a concert expected to be attended by around 3000 Egyptian fans in Saint Petersburg city, one day before Egypt’s football team will play against Russia on June 19.

According to Sky News Arabia, most of the world cup tickets were allocated to Russian fans (800,000 tickets) while 80,000 were purchased by fans from the United States.
