Thousands of protestors gathered in front of the Egyptian Radio & Television Union Headquarters (Maspero) Friday, bypassing tanks that cut off the road from Tahrir Square.
Armed forces secured the area on 28 January after protesters burned cars and set the ruling National Democratic Party headquarters on fire on the Corniche leading toward the television building.
Soldiers set barbed wire in front of the gates of the building, while scores of others stood near the first-floor windows holding their guns.
Protesters chanted "liars, liars" and" we want justice". Some tried to cross the barbed wire and broke a lamp post, but the rest of the protesters chanted " peaceful, peaceful" and one of them tried to fix the post.
