Trade and Industry Minister Rachid Mohamed Rachid has called for "identifying and removing" the obstacles that currently impede foreign investment in Egypt.
“There are challenges facing investment in the Egyptian economy in light of the global financial crisis,” Rachid said at a recent meeting convened by the General Authority for Investment. He called on the authority to tailor investment procedures to meet the particular needs of investors.
The minister also urged the authority to continue promoting investment in Egypt in global forums and the media.
