Traffic between Saudi, Egyptian ports suspended due to bad weather

The Red Sea Ports Authority announced Tuesday that navigation has been affected by the high-pressure area of central Europe as the speed of the wind heading to the east reached 28 knots, causing the sea waves to grow up to 3 meters in height.

Traffic between Safaga and Hurghada ports was suspended due to bad weather. The Nuweiba Port closed was closed as well, said Abdel Rehim Mostafa of the Red Sea Ports Authority, adding the wind speed reached 35 knots.

Similar moves by Saudi Arabian authorities to close the port of Duba caused the suspension of traffic between the Saudi and Egyptian ports.
