Egyptian Hajj mission head Major General Salah Hashem announced Thursday that two Egyptians died in Saudi Arabia while making their pilgrimage.

Hekmat Mansour Mohamed, 57, from Toukh district in Qalyubiya Governorate south of Cairo died of hepatitis in a Mecca hospital. Hashem said she would be buried there after her family gives permission.

Mohamed Ibrahim of Monufiya Governorate died in a tragic accident when he fell from the window of the hotel where he was staying in Medina, according to Hesham. The 66-year-old was blind. Hesham said he would be buried at the Baqui Cemetery in Medina.

The state-run Middle East News Agency (MENA) previously reported that 80,000 Egyptians will make the pilgrimage this year.
