Two people die, another 3 injured in Alexandria fires

Two people were killed and another three were injured, including two firemen, on Saturday after huge fires spread in an old building behind the al-Manshya police station in Alexandria.

Officers from the Manshya police station and eight ambulances moved to the location of the incident and managed to extinguish the fires.

Police investigations revealed that the fire started in an apartment used as a perfume store in the third floor of the building, which belonged to the Taxes Authority.

The deceased were sent to the al-Isaaf morgue in Kom al-Dekka, while the injured were sent to the Ras al-Teen Hospital for treatment.

Civil protection officers filed a report on the case in the Manshya police station, and submitted their report to the public prosecution.
