US activist says held in Cairo Airport before heading to Gaza

US Activist Medea Benjamin, cofounder of the peace group Code Pink,‬ said that Egyptian security services arrested her at Cairo Airport before heading to Gaza through Egypt.
 
Benjamin tweeted saying “I'm being held in a jail at Cairo airport!!!”
 
She added that the guards kept calling her “American-American.” She also said she was given “dirty stale bread and dirty water.”
 
Benjamin added that she was heading to Gaza with a women’ delegation within the Woman International Day events to express rejection toward Israeli policies toward Gaza.
 
The activist also posted photos of her cell and the food. “Help. They broke my arm. Egypt police,” her last tweet said.
