Meteorologists are predicting hot and humid weather to continue on Sunday in Lower Egypt and Cairo, with cooler, fresher weather toward the west and along the north coast.
Highs of 37 degrees centigrade will be reached in Cairo, while the top temperature in Alexandria is expected to be 32 degrees centigrade, and 31 degrees in Port Said.
Light, patchy cloud cover will move in over the north coast throughout the day, with a misty start to the morning along the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and canal provinces.
Highs of 37 degrees are expected in Suez and Ismailia, 33 degrees in Arish, 38 degrees in Sharm al-Sheikh and 43 degrees in Hurghada.
Very hot weather will prevail in Upper Egypt, with top temperatures of 43 degrees forecast for Luxor and 44 degrees in Aswan.
There will be a prevailing northeastern wind in the north of the country, Sinai, the Suez Gulf and Red Sea.
A northwesterly wind on the Mediterranean Sea will accompany waves of between one to two meters, while the height of waves on the Red Sea will reach between two to 2.5 meters.
