Wednesday’s weather forecast

Meteorologists predict hot and humid weather on Wednesday in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the north of Upper Egypt, with a maximum of 37 degrees centigrade in the captial.
 
Very hot weather is predicted in the south of Upper Egypt. Qena should hit 41C, while Luxor will be around 41C and Aswan around 42C.
 
The north of Egypt, meanwhile, will be cooler, with Alexandria at 32C, while the Sinai resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh will be a much warmer 37C.
 
Mist will affect visibility on roads in the morning along the north coast, in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the Suez Canal cities. Low-level cloud is expected along the north coast.
 
The wind will be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength. It will be active in the north of Upper Egypt, Sinai, and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation.
 
Waves on the Mediterranean and Red Seas are expected to average between 1.5 and 2 meters high, with a northwesterly surface wind on both seas.
