The second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations, held in Côte d’Ivoire from January 13-Feburary 11, kicks off on Thursday, witnessing early finals that will bring together Egypt and Ghana, and the highly anticipated match between Côte d’Ivoire, the host country, and Nigeria.
Egyptian fans are eagerly awaiting the fiery showdown between the Egypt national team and Ghana in the top matches of Group B, which also includes Cape Verde and Mozambique, Pulse Mubasher reported.
The match will be held at 10:00 PM Cairo time and will be broadcast on the following channels: beIN Sports Max 1, Fox Sports, Arryadia 3 TNT, Tele Tchad, and SuperSport.
Both teams will try to make up for the failure they suffered in the first round.
Egypt escaped defeat against Mozambique after equalizing in the dying minutes, while Ghana fell to a late goal against Cape Verde.
The match is the last chance for both teams to keep their chances of winning one of the two tickets to the second round, and to avoid entering the complex calculations to qualify among the best thirds.
