Workers Union stages open-ended sit-in until abducted members released

The Egyptian Workers Union is staging an open-ended sit-in, urging for the elimination of Brotherhood cells within trade unions, until the return of its abducted members.

“We must purge the unions of the traitors who are responsible for this incident,” said Union President Abdel Fattah Ibrahim.

Three union members were kidnapped Tuesday evening while they were heading to the city of Sharm el-Sheikh in southern Sinai to hold a public conference in support of the Constitution.
