World’s largest passenger ship crosses the Suez Canal

The world’s largest passenger ship crossed the Suez Canal on Thursday morning, carrying 4,000 passengers.

Sources at the Suez Canal Authority said in a press statement that the ship has a crew of 1,600 that can serve up to 4,900 passengers, adding that this proves the canal can take giant ships.

They also said that the passengers and the crew waved at the hundreds of people who gathered to take pictures.
