Zahi Hawass slams reports that aliens built the pyramids

Egyptologist Zahi Hawass asserted that many of the claims circulating about the pyramids and mentioned in certain books are baseless.

During an interview with Sada al-Balad TV, Hawass added that some people have even fabricated fake papyri and claimed they were preserved in the Vatican.

Any claims about aliens or extraterrestrial involvement in the construction of the pyramids are completely unfounded.

Other claims that pyramids were used to generate electricity or that granite was mainly used in their construction are also incorrect, he explained, as limestone is the primary building material, with the exception of the five upper chambers which do contain granite.

Ancient skills

He added that the ancient Egyptians used their engineering skills to utilize the limestone and granite of the Giza Plateau in construction with astonishing precision.

Hawass explained that the use of 3D scanning technology revealed the names of the work crews who participated in lifting the stones.

These historical discoveries completely refute any unscientific claims about the intervention of extraterrestrial beings or supernatural forces.

Hawass called on utilizing documented scientific sources before believing any books or claims about the pyramids.

He noted that what is sometimes published under the names of researchers or writers has no basis in reality, and that only the ancient Egyptians alone were responsible for these magnificent engineering feats.
