Egyptian armed forces arrive in UAE for joint training

Egyptian armed forces arrived in the United Arab Emirates, Sunday, to carry out a joint training named "Zayed 1" with Emirati forces over the next two weeks.

Navy units, air force units and special forces from both countries will take part in the training.

The training includes a variety of activities to share experience between the two sides in areas such as setting defense and attack points and vital goals and the implementation of tactical maneuvers in sea and air, using live ammunition, fighter jets, multi-task aircraft and destroyers.

The United Arab Emirates was one of the most critical contributors in supporting Egypt financially following the ouster of toppled President Mohamed Morsy and the Muslim Brotherhood.

The UAE's financial assistance to Egypt amounts to a total of six billion dollars, including fuel shipments.
