Five policemen were killed and two others were injured in a gunmen attack on Saft al-Sharqiya checkpoint, Beni Suef Thursday, a security source at Beni Suef Security Directorate said.
The prosecutors moved to the scene of the incident for investigations.
The prosecutor summoned a driver who reportedly witnessed the attack for testimony.
He also ordered the autopsy of the five dead bodies and to listen to the testimony of injured policemen.
