Turnout of voters in Saudi Arabia higher on second day of presidential elections

The Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh and the General Consulate in Jeddah opened its doors early Friday before voters on the second day of the 2014 presidential elections.

Egypt's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Afify Abdel Wahab said the turnout of voters exceeded the first day of elections in Riadh as Friday is a weekend.

Abdel Wahab stressed that the high turnout of voters demonstrated the awareness and responsibility of Egyptians during crises.

The queues of voters extended for tens of meters outside the headquarters of the Embassy and the Consulate on the first day of voting. About 17,000 voted on the first day only.
