50 mummies discovered in Luxor tomb

Minister of Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim announced the discovery of a huge tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor's west bank.
 
The tomb contained 50 mummies, including those of 30 princesses possibly related to Tuthmosis IV and Amenhotep III of the New Kingdom 18th Dynasty.
 
It also contained remains of wooden coffins and masks of cloth and plaster bearing the features of the tomb's owner.
 
The discovery was made by the Swiss Basel University mission in collaboration with the Ministry of Antiquities.
