Archaeological sites will be open for free on 6 October: minister

The Ministry of State for Antiquities Affairs announced on Thursday the opening the archaeological sites and museums nationwide free of charge for Egyptians on the 40th anniversary of the 6 October War victory.
 
Mohamed Ibrahim, Minister of Antiquities said in a press statement on Thursday that this decision comes as a contribution from the ministry to raise awareness of antiquities among citizens.
 
Ibrahim added that the decision will contribute to raising the sentiments of patriotism and increase awareness of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
