China condemns terrorism in Egypt

China condemned on Monday terrorist operations that recently targeted governmental establishments and civilians in Egypt, which left many innocent killed.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Qin Gang expressed welcome toward recent developments over the roadmap, which started with the public vote on draft constitution, as well as measures taken to confront terrorism then announcement to hold presidential elections.
 
China supports Egyptians’ will in running its affairs and determining its destiny, Gang told the official MENA news agency. China hopes that Egypt restores stability and calls on all national group to work on achieving stability, national development and consensus through constructive talks to achieve the roadmap.
 
Meanwhile, Chinese official media, mouthpiece of the government and the Communist Party of China, showed local interest in Egypt once interim President Adly Mansour opened the door for nominations to presidency after overwhelming majority approved the constitution. The media said that talks over the next Egyptian president has become axis of interest of both Egyptians and the international society, given that Egypt is in desperate need for a leader who enjoys power and insight to spark enthusiasm of people to achieve aspirations they had always dreamt of.
 
The official Chinese news agency Xinhua said Egypt awaits a president with a clear platform and specific timeline to achieve progress for people in different fields of security, economy, education, health and others.
 
The Chinese People Daily stressed that Egypt needs a leader with national insight toward its local, regional and international stance to revive the idea of Arab nationalism in light of challenges that face the Middle East. The next president needs to put economy on top of his priorities, plant spirit of enthusiasm among people and take advantage of human resources to achieve development in order to pass through such extremely delicate period smoothly.
