Economists project more UAE and Saudi investment in Egypt

Egyptian economists have predicted more investment from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, now that the political climate is 'warm.'

They urged the government to remove all obstacles so that Arab companies can resolve their differences with the competent authorities.

“We should openly work with all Arab countries, including Qatar,” said Gamal Bayoumy, secretary of the Union of Arab Investors.

For his part, Ashraf al-Gazaierly, former president of the Assembly of Young Entrepreneurs, said that the UAE and Saudi Arabia would encourage other Arab countries to invest in Egypt.

Moharram Helal, head of Egyptian-Qatari Business Council, said that improving relations between Egypt and Arab countries would enhance bilateral trade and joint investments.
