Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said Egypt is well on the horizons of the fund.

In her speech on Sunday at a forum at the Central Bank of Kuwait, Lagarde said around 1,100 people join the Egyptian job market every six weeks. She highlighted the importance of offering regional aid to Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Yemen and Libya during transitional periods across the Middle East.

Lagarde also pointed the IMF's determination to support Arab Spring countries, using the fund to guarantee financial stability.

Lagarde also praised the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for its role within the IMF, especially after the council's countries increased their share financing the fund and Kuwait established the IMF Middle East Center for Economics and Finance.
