President Mohamed Morsy attended the funeral of his sister, who passed away Monday, in the Sharqiya village of Adwa Tuesday, and received condolences with his family in a mosque near Zagazig’s central hospital.

Security was not tight outside the mosque, but a number of plainclothes security officials were seen inside, Al-Masry Al-Youm reported.

The president’s office called on all individuals and authorities not to publish any obituaries in newspapers.

Presidential spokesperson Yasser Ali said the presidential office believes it would be better if the money spent on such obituaries was donated to charity.
