Weather temperatures to rise Saturday

Meteorologists expect a rise in temperatures Saturday, with milder weather to the north as well as in Cairo and Lower Egypt.

It will be hotter in northern Upper Egypt and very hot in the south during daylight hours. Weather will mitigate in the evening.

Mist will affect visibility in the morning along the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and the Suez Canal cities.

Low- and medium-level clouds will appear along the north coast, while winds will be northeasterly and moderate in strength. Winds will be most active across western parts of the country.

Waves in the Mediterranean and Red seas will range in height between one and a half and two meters. Surface winds will be northeasterly in the Mediterranean and northwesterly in the Red Sea.

Maximum temperatures predicted are in Cairo: 29C; in Alexandria: 25C; in Qena: 34C; in Luxor: 36C; and in Aswan: 36C.
