5 killed, 22 injured in Cairo, Damietta clashes on Friday

Clashes between Muslim Brotherhood members, police and the residents in Cairo and Damietta governorates on Friday left five victims and 22 injured, Health Ministry said on Saturday.
 
Three were killed in al-Alf Maskan area, including a reporter with Al-Dostour newspaper who was transferred to hospital by ambulance, while the other two were transferred by people, according to a statement by the ministry.
 
The other two victims were killed in Ain Shams area. Five injured were transferred to Matariya educational hospital, two of them were transferred to Demerdash hospital, it added.
 
Two injured were transferred to Mansheyyet al-Bakri hospital, 11 others were transferred to Heliopolis Hospital. Eight injured were released from hospital care after their conditions improved.
 
Four injured were wounded in Damietta and were transferred to al-Zarqa hospital. After their conditions stabilized they were released from the hospital as well.
 
The ministry said a total of 18 people were injured.
