Brotherhood supporters referred to trial for Ramses violence

West Cairo district attorney on Wednesday referred 104 supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and deposed President Mohamed Morsy to criminal court for their alleged parts in July's Ramses Square clashes.

Defendants are charged with leading armed marches, as well as committing murder, sabotage and destruction of public and private property.

Two people were killed and nine others were wounded during the violence.

Charges followed Homeland Security Bureau investigations, witness testimonies as well as reports from security forces involved in arresting the 104 defendants.
