Trial of Badei, Brotherhood suspects on blocking Qalyoub road adjourned to 3 February

Shubra al-Kheima Criminal Court adjourned on Saturday the trial of 48 Muslim Brotherhood suspects including Mohamed Badie, former supreme guide of the group, on charges of blocking the agricultural road of Qalyoub city in July, which left two killed and 30 injured.

The trial was postponed to 3 February due to absence of suspects for security reasons.

The suspects were earlier referred by prosecution to court.

They are accused of inciting violence, blocking the road, joining a terrorist group that calls for spreading violence, immobilizing traffic, damaging public and private properties, possessing weapons and intimidating the public.
