Twenty-one major pharmaceutical and medical supplies companies and hospitals in Egypt will participate in the Health Expo Iraq, set for September 14-16 at Baghdad international fair center, the Export Council for Medical Industries (ECMI) said Saturday.
The Egyptian participation in this year’s edition aims to explore opportunities in the Iraqi market and establish partnerships with Iraqi companies and hospitals, as part of a government export promotion plan, said the council, which is in charge of organizing Egypt’s participation in the event in cooperation with Expo Consultants Global, a leading event management company in Egypt.
Earlier, ECMI Chairman Maged George announced a 14 per cent increase in the sector’s exports, which amounted to nearly $530 million during the first half of 2023, against $467 million for the same period in 2022.
