Minister of International Cooperation Rania al-Mashat has discussed with Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)’s Regional Office Hub in Egypt Patrick Jean Gilabert ways to support bilateral cooperation in many areas related to industrial development and green industries.
During the meeting, held at the headquarters of the international cooperation ministry in the New Administrative Capital, the two sides also probed the current development cooperation portfolio.
Mashat underscored the importance of joint cooperation with UNIDO in light of Egypt’s priorities to achieve comprehensive and sustainable industrial development through the UNIDO Program for Country Partnership (PCP) for 2021-2025, under the umbrella of the strategic framework for partnership between Egypt and the United Nations for cooperation to achieve sustainable development.
UNIDO’s current portfolio in Egypt includes 18 projects at a total value of $52 million.
