President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Amr Adly, emphasized the university’s strong commitment to connecting scientific research with the national industry. E-JUST, through strategic partnerships with leading industrial firms, aims to turn research outputs into practical applications that support Egypt’s goals for sustainable development and the shift to a green economy.
Adly made these remarks during his meeting with a high-level delegation from Abu Qir Fertilizers Company, led by Chairman and CEO Hani Dahi, on Thursday, August 7, 2025. The visit sought to explore opportunities for collaboration, particularly in clean energy and green hydrogen technologies.
He noted that working with a prominent industry leader like Abu Qir Fertilizers creates significant opportunities for integration in clean energy and advanced technology.
This partnership strengthens the university’s role as a leading scientific and research hub in the region, enhancing its ability to contribute to national and regional innovation.
E-JUST represents a unique model of cooperation between the governments of Egypt and Japan. The university combines Japan’s educational excellence and discipline with Egypt’s development vision, aiming to prepare a generation of scientifically and culturally skilled innovators ready to face future challenges. Dahi, for his part, praised the university’s academic and technological excellence and stressed the importance of strengthening joint efforts in sustainable technology and clean energy.
He asserted that such cooperation could support the growth of Egypt’s industrial sector and boost its global competitiveness.
During the visit, the university provided a comprehensive overview of its strategic vision, academic and research areas, and its capacity to support and develop various industrial sectors.
