
Sources at North Sinai reported that the entry of aid and fuel trucks into the Gaza Strip has resumed on Sunday morning, via the Karem Abu-Salem crossing gate, after a two-day hiatus on Friday and Saturday.
The sources confirmed that the 26th batch of humanitarian and relief aid trucks moved from in front of Rafah crossing to Kerem Abu-Salem crossing, south of Rafah city, passing through the side gate of Rafah land crossing in North Sinai.
On early Sunday morning, the outer courtyard of the Rafah crossing witnessed a line of trucks carrying the 26th batch of aid consisting of food and humanitarian supplies into the Gaza Strip, before moving to the Karem Abu-Salem crossing via the side gate of the Rafah land crossing.
An Egyptian Red Crescent source said the trucks are carrying large quantities of food and relief aid, including food supplies, food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, preserved foods, medicines, personal care supplies, and fuel.
Since the beginning of the war, approximately 37,000 trucks carrying more than 700,000 tons of various humanitarian and relief aid have entered Gaza, in addition to ambulances and fuel trucks.
More than 1,600 trucks carrying approximately 14,000 tons of essential food aid have entered the strip since July 27.
Four field hospitals have also been equipped to serve the injured and sick.
