Gradual withdrawal of Indian monsoon depression, moderate weather to prevail across Egypt

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts milder autumnal weather to prevail, with moderate temperatures in the early morning and evening hours, and hot weather during the day across most parts of the country on Wednesday.

Weather conditions will continue to improve due to the gradual withdrawal of the Indian monsoon depression.

There will be light, sometimes moderate, rainfall intermittently across scattered areas of the northern coast and northern Lower Egypt, and weak chances of light rain falling across different areas of southern Lower Egypt.

Low clouds will appear over parts of Greater Cairo, the Canal cities, and central Sinai, bringing with them a light, insignificant drizzle over areas.

Winds will be active across Egypt, potentially stirring up sand and dust in parts of the south of the country and the Red Sea Governorate intermittently.

Temperatures expected on Wednesday:

  • Matrouh: 28C
  • Alexandria: 29C
  • Cairo: 31C
  • Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh: 34C
  • Luxor: 37C
  • Aswan: 38C
