
The Embassy of the State of Palestine in Cairo announced that the Rafah crossing border will open on Monday for citizens wishing to return to Gaza Strip.
The embassy said in a statement on its Facebook page on Saturday: “After communicating with the relevant authorities in Egypt, it has been decided to open the Rafah Crossing starting Monday, October 20, to enable Palestinian citizens residing in Egypt and wishing to return to Gaza Strip to travel, in accordance with the established coordination mechanism.”
The embassy called on “All citizens wishing to travel to register their information, including their full name, date of birth, passport number (if applicable), ID number, and mobile phone number, and send it via WhatsApp to the number: 01223301974.”
The embassy indicated that it will contact citizens later to inform them of the times and locations of the gatherings in preparation for the movement towards the Rafah border.
