
ASWAN, Oct 19 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said Africa is a vibrant and resource-rich continent despite the challenges facing it and it remains a key player that seeks to leverage its vast potentials to build a better future for its people.
Addressing the fifth edition of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, Abdelatty said Africa is the only continent projected to double its population by 2050, alongside a rapidly expanding middle class and growing purchasing power, positioning it as the world’s development frontier in the coming decades.
He said this year’s agenda includes critical discussions on creative partnerships to address resource scarcity, as well as emerging global issues such as artificial intelligence and its potential applications in civilian sectors, including food security, irrigation, and modern manufacturing methods.
