The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of a rise in temperatures starting on Tuesday across the country, reaching up to three degrees Celsius and continuing until the end of the week.
During this period, the weather will be slightly hot in Cairo and northern Egypt, hot in South Sinai and southern Egypt, and mild in the early evening, turning cooler during the early morning and late night hours.
Monday’s weather will continue to be influenced by moderate autumn air masses, with relatively cool temperatures in the early morning, especially along the northern coast and in northern Egypt.
During the day, the weather will be pleasant and suitable for outdoor activities, with clear to partly cloudy skies across most areas.
Meteorologists advised wearing autumn clothing in the mornings and evenings, noting that temperatures may drop significantly at night, especially in higher elevations such as South Sinai and Upper Egypt.
The EMA also warned of dense fog forming in the early morning on highways and in agricultural areas, particularly in Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai.
This fog can sometimes reduce visibility, so drivers should exercise caution and adhere to speed limits.
Forecasts indicate a chance of light and scattered rainfall along the northern coast and northern Nile Delta, while the rest of the country will remain dry with moderate winds that may occasionally become stronger, increasing the feeling of cold in some areas.
The EMA called on citizens to follow the daily weather bulletins, adhere to recommendations for driving in foggy conditions, and protect children and the elderly from sudden changes in temperature.
Temperatures expected for Monday:
- Matrouh: 23C
- Cairo and Alexandria: 25C
- Hurghada and Luxor: 27C
- Sharm El-Sheikh and Aswan: 28C
