Warmer temperatures expected for Egypt on Monday, rising on Wednesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts that Monday’s weather will be cold at night and early morning, becoming warm during the day across most of the country.

Weather maps warn of morning fog in northern Egypt, extending to Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai.

The fog may be dense at times on some roads.

Winds are expected to pick up in parts of Greater Cairo, southern Sinai, and southern Egypt.

Temperatures are set to start rising starting Wednesday, with increases of up to three degrees Celsius.

 

Sea Conditions

  • Mediterranean Sea: Moderate to rough with waves ranging from 1.5 to two meters and northeasterly to northwesterly winds.
  • Red Sea: Moderate to rough with waves ranging from two to three meters and northwesterly winds.

 

Expected temperatures:

  • Matrouh: 19C
  • Cairo and Alexandria: 21C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh: 23C
  • Hurghada: 24C
  • Luxor and Aswan: 27C
