Warm daytime and cold overnight temperatures expected Saturday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts warm to moderately hot conditions across most of the Republic on Saturday.

For the capital, Cairo is expected to see a high of 24°C and a low of 13°C.

While South Upper Egypt will experience hot weather during the day, temperatures are predicted to drop significantly at night, bringing a cold spell to most regions.

According to the EMA statement, light rainfall may occur intermittently in the extreme southern parts of the country and the South Red Sea mountain ranges.

Additionally, active winds are expected across most areas, which may stir up sand and dust along the North West Coast, parts of North and South Upper Egypt, the Red Sea Governorate, and South Sinai—potentially reducing horizontal visibility in certain locations.

Maritime conditions for both the Mediterranean and Red Seas are reported as moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.25 meters and northwesterly winds.
