Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty had a meeting with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Jordan and its solidarity with the Jordanian leadership, government, and people during what he described as a critical time.
Abdelatty stressed Egypt’s firm rejection and condemnation of any attacks targeting Jordan, while reviewing Cairo’s efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
The two ministers also exchanged views on US-Iran negotiations, emphasizing the need to intensify coordination to support de-escalation and end ongoing conflicts.
Discussions further covered the Palestinian cause, particularly developments in Gaza, where both sides stressed the importance of ensuring the delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid without restrictions, and advancing arrangements to support stability in the enclave.
They also condemned ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank and agreed to continue close coordination to strengthen bilateral ties and address regional challenges.
