FM, Qatari PM discuss bilateral relations, regional developments

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, held a meeting on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations and reviewing the latest regional developments.

During the talks, held in Cairo, the two sides stressed the importance of building on the positive momentum in Egypt-Qatar relations and expanding cooperation across various fields.

They also exchanged views on regional issues, including ongoing US-Iran negotiations and efforts by Egypt and Qatar to support diplomacy, reduce tensions, and promote stability in the region.

The talks also addressed the situation in Gaza, with both ministers stressing the importance of advancing humanitarian assistance, recovery efforts, and steps aimed at restoring stability.

They agreed to continue close coordination and consultation on regional issues in support of shared interests and Arab security.
