Train derails at Cairo’s Ramses Station, no injuries

A source at the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) revealed that a carriage of Train #928, arriving from Alexandria, derailed shortly after pulling into Platform II at Cairo’s Ramses Station.

The source told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the incident occurred after all passengers had already safely disembarked.

The rear wheels of the train’s final carriage slipped off the tracks inside the station yard as the empty train was routed toward the maintenance workshops.

The source confirmed that the incident resulted in no injuries or casualties.

Emergency response teams were deployed to the scene to rerail the carriage and tow the train to the workshop.
