The death toll in Nepal from the devastating floods has risen to 1,114, the country’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) said in an update Wednesday morning.
At least 16 people have died on the Chinese side of the border, according to an update from state broadcaster CCTV on Sunday.
Roughly 4,500 people remain missing on both sides of the border, according to authorities.
Nearly 12,000 people have been rescued in Nepal, the NDRRMA said.
