Cabinet Spokesperson Mohamed Adel said Egypt’s call for the peaceful settlement of conflicts and disputes is gaining recognition internationally, stressing that this approach is essential to achieving peace and stability in the region.
In a phone interview with Al Hayah TV’s “Al Hayah Al Youm” program, Adel said Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s address to the UN General Assembly, delivered on behalf of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, conveyed key messages on reforming the multilateral international system, ensuring fair representation in international decision-making, applying international law equally and providing fair development opportunities.
He said the Palestinian issue remains the clearest example of shortcomings in the application of justice and international rules, stressing the need to address the imbalance in Africa’s representation and enhance the role of international financial institutions in responding to the needs of developing and least-developed countries.
Adel also highlighted Egypt’s active participation in high-level international events, noting that Egypt has consistently been invited to take part in such meetings.
